Affiliate Marketing Sucks
72Going broke in affiliate marketing?
Struggling in affiliate marketing? Here's why...
Affiliate marketing sounds really cool at first, I mean, what could be better than sitting at home in your pajamas and having tons of cash automatically deposited in your bank account, right?! Wrong. Affiliate programs aren't that great, and here's why:
1. Affiliate marketing programs have a short life span. What worked 6 months ago doesn't work anymore. So you have to constantly find new programs to market, and go through a new learning curve with each one.
2. Affiliate programs are straight commission, and pay out only when you get a sale. So you have to be good enough to get sales on a daily or weekly basis, depending on the price of the program. Most people just don't have the skills to do that.
3. You are referring perfectly good customers to SOMEBODY ELSE. The person that owns the affiliate program you market for owns the customer, and can market programs to them over and over again, while you are left to find new, fresh commissions.
4. Most marketers can only generate a handful of sales per month, so the total income being made is very low.
A better way to cash in online
There is a better way...
So what's a better solution? Try online network marketing. Now, before you gag and associate online network marketing with your Uncle Bob that bothers you at every family picnic to "come to his meeting", realize the world has changed DRASTICALLY and network marketing, and, done properly online, is a great, leveraged opportunity to cash in on the internet. Gone are the days of "make a list" and contact your friends and family.
Here's how it works: imagine a group of 1,000 struggling affiliate marketers. They have some skills, but each only generates $200 average in volume per month. All are going broke.
But what if you spent your time and energy building an online network marketing downline, and with the same resources you used to spend generating $200, you get 2 distributors who are each on a $100 autoship? And just to keep the numbers the same, let's say each also generated $100 a month in sales either through recruiting or getting retail customers.
Now, you have the same 1,000 people, all just doing a little bit, but YOU are making money on $200,000 in monthly volume! In most plans that will make you $20,000 a month! Same effort, but a whole lot more money.
And, your whole group is doing about the same amount of work that they used to do, but all have the same opportunity to do what you did (which, if they do, makes you even more money!)
But it gets even better. Each month your group stays on the autoship, you make money again. So instead of finding new affiliate programs on occassion, just keep on building your group, and the money will keep coming in month after month after month.
Wishing you success!

I agree that MLM if done right is the way to go but the problem that I have found is that most often you first have to get them on the product and then you have to let it work its magic. The upside is that if you have a good product then you don't have to sell a thing. But the downside is that most MLM products are expensive and just giving away product cuts into your profit. I am currently working on a solution that will make it possible to get your customers on the product for FREE! Yeah I know it seems unrealistic but once I get it all in place it will be a huge tool for the MLMer. I don't plan on charging the MLMer ether so it will be a win/win for everyone. Oh the other thing is it signs up your customer to be apart of Your Downline when they apply for the product!

Great Hub. The title really grabs you. I haven't tried online network marketing, but you sure make a good case for it.
Great hub, keep them coming.
Another interestinghub - thanks for sharing!
Nice hub and information, I agree whole heartedly, taking Network Marketing to a new level online is what has finally given me success. The older methods of bugging friends and family, cold calls, buying expensive dead end leads or late night hotel meetings are becoming more and more a thing of the past.
Great information, thanks for sharing,

This is Good Information you have
your downplaying affiliate marketing for MLM. I think your gag comment is justified.
Hi Dave, nice hub, I like your style, as you know. Get in touch soon I still make more money affiliate marketing but I have time now for the transition. Paul
Wow ,a thousand people on my downline, and as you say, I make money through recruiting or sales
People have learned not to chase money with money. If I have to pay to become part of someone's downline, I'm out the door pronto.
The problem with affiliate marketing is you simply cannot get your affiliate link on search engines the way it is. You must have a completely stand-alone domain name the is keyword optimized which in turn points to your affiliate link. Many don't have a clue how to do that...we can help.
